Hurghada was designed for diving. Its myriad of small islands, reefs and ergs provide diving at all levels. Close to shore,ergs such as Petra and Ishta riye up from a shallow sandy bottom and make an ideal training ground for beginners.
Further out reefs such as Small Giftun and North Abu Kamada offer exhilarating drift dives for more advanced divers,whilst on the sleep walls of Umm Gamar or Shaabruhr they can seek their thrills.
